With so much attention
coming my way
I know I present an
attraction of some kind
to the world.
I want to shut it out
-the attention-
for it derails me
from what I truly want.
No one is to blame
and no one to claim.
It's simply that 
I don't want to view
myself that way.
So darkness is fine
both within 
and without.
It helps me 
see things clearly.
