Darkly in the sky

Darkness beckons

not the evil in me,

but the sly detective

and the determined cop

I have long harboured inside.

There are demons

and Villains out there

and also in here.

I never despised them

but was curious to see

where they came from

and how they were made

and by whom.

I know the skies will clear

storms will cease

day will break 

and the scene will light up.

And I know

to investigate all that is inside me

I must stand naked

to myself.
